Next Limit was invited to the Paris Air Show 52nd edition, participating in the Computing & Artificial Intelligence booth, inside the Paris Air Lab.
It was located right in the heart of the Paris Air Show, in the Concorde Hall of the Air and Space Museum, where two examples of the famous supersonic Concorde airplane were on display. This 2,000 sqm space was dedicated entirely to innovations and offered the opportunity to explore new ideas and immersive experiences using virtual reality and augmented reality.
The fair was held from 19th to 25th June 2017 and its inauguration was attended by Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic. The Paris Air show is the largest aerospace fair in the world. In this edition, it has received 322.000 visitors during its 7 days, 50.000 of them being addressed to the Paris Air Lab, despite the strict security protocols in the access and the heat wave.
Víctor González, Next Limit CEO, showed in a pitch the main areas where Next Limit is in constant development: Simulation, Photorealistic Visualization and Machine Learning. A video, played during the presentation, showed the public some practical applications of this areas, including a robotic arm for industrial processes.
Altran, a global leader in Engineering and R&D services, introduced a “Factory Avatar”, an immersive and adaptive remote factory control system which supports the use of cognitive-control technology in a context of the Industry 4.0 emerging revolution. This Factory Avatar is an immersive remote factory control system prototype developed in close cooperation with Airbus and Next Limit among others.
