Next Limit has an extensive research and development experience in simulation techniques, advanced mathematical models and programming methodologies. The technologies developed by Next Limit improve the existing techniques and allow the exploration of physical processes that are not solved by traditional methods and existing tools. To achieve this, Next Limit´s dedicated team combines expertise, knowledge and experience from different fields like science & engineering, computer graphics and entertainment.

To get these technologies to market, Next Limit has created three different products for each of these technologies, which target different, sometimes overlapping industries: RealFlowMaxwell Render and XFlow. All products have been developed using proprietary technology

OTHER PROJECTS

Next Limit has made progress in other fields, applying their know-how to diverse problems in which the simulation concepts can be well suited or adapted. The particle methods suppose a new paradigm that can be adapted to other areas of science and contribute to the research of complex behaviours not well understood.

  • Traffic simulation - The particles can represent the flow of traffic in roads. Every particle behaves like a car and depends on other cars in the locality.
  • Cell simulation - The particles can represent the behavior of cells in interaction with the vicinities
  • Crowd simulation - The particles can represent the behavior of crowd in different critic conditions, for example the evacuation of a public area.
  • OFFICIAL R&D PROJECTS

    Next Limit has been involved in official R+D projects (SASDI, DYSEBIN, CARENA, GISEM) developed in partnership with some of the governmental agencies in Spain (Defense agency, Science and Technology agency, Industry agency). Other governmental agencies in USA and Europe have expressed interest in the simulation technologies developed by Next Limit.
