| New voting system in the RF4 Scripting! |
|
A new system of "positive" voting is now in place. If you like a script, you can give it an appreciation point. Negative voting is no longer possible. Scripts that already had votes have only kept the positive ones.

| We hope you will find this a fair and easy-to-use system! |

Well, scripting tools allow users to program their own tools (within certain limits) and to solve certain program limitations or specific scenes. This obviously makes the program much more powerful. Imagine for example, that you have to create and arrange one hundred elements, wouldn’t it be easier to have a script that makes it for you?

For those of you who do not have a clue what a script is- scripting is basic programming. Some advanced programmers have created a special programming language with several functions and utilities to use straight away; this is a scripting language.
In RF4 we will be dealing with Python scripting. Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language.
It has got an open, friendly community, with lots of documentation, and though its implementation is copyrighted; it is freely usable and distributable, even for commercial use. |
