About the image

“This scene was made using a combination of software. The foreground structure was built in Cinema4D R10.5 and rendered with Cinemaxwell 1.6. For the background I used Bryce 5.5 and matched the camera with the main scene. Finally, both scenes were brought into Photoshop for merging and some additional postwork, such as color corrections and dirt. The estimated total time for the modeling was about 45 hours, plus around 15 hours of rendering for a 4000 x 2000 resolution on a Quad core with 4 GB of Ram.”

About Maxwell Render

“The reason I now consider Maxwell Render a primary part of my toolbox is that it saves me a lot of time. I’m now able to quickly set up spot-on lighting in outdoor scenes with extreme ease. One of my favourite features, apart from the lighting, is the ability to change values while the image is rendering and see the results in real time. A most excellent feature.”
