  • The development of the next version of Maxwell Render continues and is going to schedule. It is not yet possible to reveal features or release dates, but we will keep you updated.

  • The updated Maxwell Render plug-ins for CINEMA 4D, Maya, Archicad, SketchUp and 3ds Max have been out for a while now and we are happy to report very positive feedback from our users. We will continue to focus on development of the plug-ins so as to strengthen them even further. .

  • Development of the Rhinoceros 4.0 plug-in is going extremely well and we target to release it in February. For a short list outlining some of the features of the new Maxwell for Rhino 4 plug-in, see below.

  • News and updates regarding the SolidWorks 2007 plug-in will be announced during SolidWorks World 2007 in February. Stay tuned!

  • The long-awaited RealFlow4 plug-in for XSI has been released and is available for download from the regular customer download area.

  • We are aware that some RealFlow/ Lightwave users are having problems with the installation of the Lightwave plug-in and a revision of the plug-in is on our agenda. For now, the plug-in is working. If you are having installation problems with the LW plug-in, please note that in some configurations you need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 update to get the plug-in working.   • We have now added several tutorial videos about connectivity that show the workflow between RealFlow4 and the Maya, Lightwave, 3ds Max and Cinema4D platforms. See how you can import and export data, and make your life easier at http://www.nextlimit.com/realflow/features.htm#conect. We will continue to upload more videos.

  • Finally! The winners of the Maxwell Render December MXM contest “Christmas” have been announced! The contest was a huge success with more than 60 uploaded materials and fantastic participation. A big thanks to everyone who made this contest go sky-high. The first prize, that eye-popping Apple Mac mini, goes to Rosario975! She created the most original, beautiful and creative material “Light Christmas”.

  • The Gnomon Workshop, the industry leader in professional training for artists in the entertainment and design industries, will release a new DVD for RealFlow on January24. The DVD, called “Introduction to Sculpting Fluid Dynamics” by Wayne England, offers an introduction to the creation of photo-realistic fluid dynamic effects to establish an essential, practical, working knowledge of the program. This includes a thorough overview of features important in establishing a production-ready workflow, such as questions of scale and perspectives on effectively using the program in creative ways.

  • SolidWorks World 2007 will be held from February 4 through February 7, 2007, in New Orleans and Next Limit will be there as a SolidWorks Partner. Please come and visit us in booth 448 to see Maxwell Render demonstrations, get information or ask questions. We will be showcasing our latest SolidWorks plug-in developments and the newest features during a user break-out session at 4 pm on Tuesday February 6.

  • More events! RealFlow4 and Maxwell Render Reseller 3DVF (www.3dvf.com)  will be exhibiting and showcasing Maxwell Render at the “Imagina 2007” event (www.imagina.mc ) from January 31 to February 2 in Monaco.

    The upcoming Maxwell Render plug-in for the soon-to-be-released Rhinoceros V4.0 aims to offer all functions necessary to allow complete Maxwell Scene creation, management, and rendering, all without ever leaving the Rhinoceros environment. In addition to providing access to all the necessary Maxwell parameters, the new plug-in also offers many other user-convenience features, allowing for a smooth and flexible workflow.
