Next Limit Technologies, based in Madrid, Spain, was founded in 1998 by two young engineers, Victor Gonzalez and Ignacio Vargas, who were enthusiastic about creating new and innovative tools combining science and visualization for the Computer Graphics market. Thanks to the know-how and experience gained in the preceding years working in industry, they knew that the only way to realise that dream successfully was to create a dedicated team and a company of their own.
At the start, they were just two guys in a small room with a lot of work ahead of them, but they weren’t afraid of that and soon their first product "RealFlow™" was released. Its success and the encouragement and support of many friends and customers helped Victor and Ignacio to continue their voyage. RealFlow grew to become well known in the computer graphics, film and visual effects industries for its ground breaking techniques with fluids and dynamics.
Soon their attentions were drawn to another technology – light simulation and rendering. With additions to the dedicated development team “Maxwell Render™” was launched by Next Limit to create the most accurate and realistic images for a wide range of industries and sectors.
With Victor and Ignacio´s leadership, Next Limit´s research and development continues to explore and improve simulation techniques, advanced mathematical models and programming methodologies. The latest technology from Next Limit is in the area of fluid and particle simulation for engineering, design, science and architecture. This has resulted in “XFlow”, a new particle-based Computational Fluid Dynamics software which provides engineers and analysts with quick and accurate feedback on Flow, Thermal and Acoustic behaviour.
Today, twelve years later, Victor and Ignacio lead a team of the best young professionals in the industry and Next Limit has gained a worldwide reputation for the quality and power of its software simulation tools. These state-of-the-art simulation packages have been widely acclaimed and awarded.
