Premio Segundo de Chomón 2008
Next Limit Technologies received a “Premio Segundo de Chomón 2008” award from the Spanish Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences for its significant technical contribution with its RealFlow software to the development of the Spanish film industry.
This “Spanish Oscar”, which follows the Technical Achievement Award granted last year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the USA, was handed to Victor Gonzalez (CEO) and Ignacio Vargas (CTO) of Next Limit by Enrique Urbizu, Vice President of the Spanish Academy of Arts, during an official ceremony in the center of Madrid, Spain, on February 17, 2009.
Academy Technical Achievement Award 2007
In January 2008, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences granted a Technical Achievement Award® 2007 to Victor Gonzalez, Ignacio Vargas and Angel Tena for the creation of the RealFlow™ software application, recognizing the significant contribution RealFlow™ has made to the process of making motion pictures.
The Technical Achievement Award® was presented to the RealFlow™ developers during the Academy’s annual Awards Presentation Dinner and Ceremony held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Los Angeles, USA.
The RealFlow™ developers were honoured for their hard work creating and developing RealFlow™, which has been hailed by the Scientific and Technical Awards Committee as “the first widely-adopted, commercially-available, easy-to-use system for the simulation of realistic liquids in motion picture visual effects”.
